There is no denying that these two lovebirds were so ready to get married this past Saturday at their classic Lansdowne Resort & Spa wedding! You may remember this couple from their Tidal Basin cherry blossom engagement session earlier this year. Their engagement session was the first time I had met Anna and Rex but I immediately noticed that they both have such a warm aura and genuineness about them that draws you right in. I liked them even more as soon as I found out Rex was a World of Warcraft player (I admit WoW was an obsession of mine around ’07-’09-ish) and that Anna was an artist! They are such a cool couple and I was so excited that their day had arrived and that they had such gorgeous weather — especially since their engagement session was INCREDIBLY cold and had ice cold winds.
Carley and I arrived at Lansdowne Resort to the calm and ever-sweet Anna as she waited to be let into the bridal suite to begin getting ready. I sent Carley down to photograph the guys and didn’t even get to escort her down to be introduced to Rex, but I knew that the guys would be super cooperative and Carley is such a pro and went with it. Anna looked absolutely stunning in her gown and Rex looked so dapper and together, they are too cute for words. I can’t wait to share this huge preview of their wedding day with you all and hope it brings a smile to your face!
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I appreciate Carley for making the trip to Loudoun County time after time to assist with weddings with me (because the majority of my weddings are usually 2-ish hours away). Thank you for all of your help, Carley! You da best!
