new years eve 2011

On New Years Eve I met up with an old high school friend and her best friend for a photo session with Connor, Henna, and Mavvy – a paint and two thoroughbreds. The paint was as cute and sweet as can be even though he had been through some really horrible abuse in his past with his previous owner – but you’d never be able to tell because of the amount of love and care he has received from Stacey. 🙂 Thanks to Katie, Stacey, and her Mom for letting me intrude on them for an afternoon so I could take photos of these big beautiful babies! Hope you enjoy.

There is nothing better than equine photography! I have a shrine to my childhood horse in my room that says, “Every horse deserves, at least once in their life – to be loved by a little girl!

I am glad Stacey got to grow up with horses they teach us the important things in life (like how to get back up when you fall on your tush!) and they keep us human.

It is hard to capture all that in a photo – but I think you did!ReplyCancel

Lesley, you are so sweet! Thanks for your comment. This was my first opportunity to photograph horses and I have to say, they are like big dogs… I just loved it. I hope to have the chance again in the near future!ReplyCancel
