A Sunset National Harbor Engagement Session | Gloria + Tung

Sharing this sunset National Harbor engagement session with you all today makes me so happy! When I first spoke to Gloria during her consultation, our phonecall lasted for almost TWO HOURS. Haha. I guess you could say we hit it off pretty well?! So when I got the news Adam and I would be working at their wedding, I was really excited!

Gloria and Tung met at Gloria’s family’s restaurant. As always, you can read a bit more about the two of them below in their love story interview. They are getting married this September at MGM National Harbor (also where he proposed to her!) and I am thrilled that we will be there to capture it all! Gloria and Tung are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and even better together. It’s been so wonderful getting to know them through this process and I’m so happy that they’ll be tying the knot soon. I can’t wait to see you guys in September — it’ll be here before we know it! I hope you enjoy this preview!

How did you meet?

Gloria: Funny story. We actually met in my family’s restaurant. I am a hostess there and sometimes a waitress. So one night, Tung was there with his friend having dinner. His friend left first because it was getting late and he had to take his son home. Tung stayed a little longer. We exchanged numbers and started off as friends where we would go watch movies and hang out.

Tung: At her family’s restaurant. She’s a hostess there and they have delicious food!

What was your first thought when you saw or interacted with him/her for the first time?

Gloria: I thought Tung was really cute and someone who will lend a listening ear.

Tung: Attractive and smart!

How did you start dating?

Gloria: I had just gotten out of a relationship a couple months prior and was not really looking for anything but a friend to lend a shoulder and ear to listen to. Out of nowhere, things just started to shift from friendship to dating.

Tung: She made me take her to go watch a movie lol

What did you tell your friends or family about each other after your first date?

Gloria: I was still in school when we started dating and since it was still a new relationship, we both agreed to hold it off until we have been dating a little longer to tell everyone.

Tung: Nothing. I believe most if not all did not know of our dating until after a while.

When did you know that your partner was the one?

Gloria: We had been dating for a couple of months and we hit a bump in the road where we were debating where we were going with everything. We talked it through and that’s when I knew that I couldn’t see my life without Tung.

Tung: Hard to pinpoint but I would guess maybe after a year or so.

How did the proposal happen?

Gloria: We just finished eating Korean BBQ (my favorite!) when we went to MGM to walk around. When we were outside by the water fountain, he asked me. It was something I already suspected that was going to happen because we had been talking about it for awhile. He was also super nervous about it.

Tung: After dinner one night, we stopped by the MGM resort to take in the sights. While strolling on the outside terrace overlooking the Potomac, got down on one knee and popped the question.

What quality/qualities do you love most about your partner?

Gloria: Tung is so level headed and reasonable. I am the type of person that thinks with my heart and emotions and that has gotten me into so much trouble. Out of the two of us, he uses his brain and is more rational.

Tung:

What are some of your partner’s quirks that you love or appreciate?

Tung: I

What moment of your wedding day are you most anticipating?

Gloria: I am anticipating that it will go exactly how I pictured it from table settings to the flower arrangements. Most of the time, what I picture in my head does not translate into what is on display.

I just want everything to go smoothly with no bumps in the road and that everyone is happy and has fun!

Tung: Watching her walk down that aisle all glammed up knowing that I am the luckiest man alive!
